Try to find one current event that makes you happy. Locate something that is a good thing that makes you feel good. Remember you have 2 to complete for turn in . Please reread your paper before you turn it in.

6th reading: REMEMBER TO READ daily. 40 min is the goal. You can do this by 10 min chunks or all at one time. You make it work fo you. We need to continue to read so our skills keep up and we simply don't get bored!

5th/6th Grade Social Studies
Current events will be due on Friday again. But please try to turn in through the Google classroom assignment page. This will be easier for me to look through them all.
Please watch CNN 10 daily. There is a lot of scary stuff on the news now, but just know we are all together in this and we'll get through it.
THURSDAY March 19 - Friday March 20
Turn in:
6th gr.Reading: Turn in character traits from the book you are reading. Remember this should be the main character. Tell about them. Include name of the book - capitalized. Go to google classroom and use the assignment to turn work in.
5th / 6th gr. Social Studies: Current Events: Use the form I gave you (paper copy) to complete 2 current events. This should be from any source you have been watching or reading. Go to google classroom and turn in on the assignment.

5th/6th grade SOCIAL STUDIES
Let's try to hand in something from Google classroom. Create a google doc and write to me about what you've been doing since we've started our home program. Then turn it into google classroom. I will create an assignment for you to turn things in under the social studies classrooms.
READING: Read for 30 min to 1 hour today. (can be at different times) and write about what the main character's traits are. Describe main character. Turn in to google classroom

Do not use the current events sheet I am sending in your folder. This is for you to use when you are doing current events on a Google doc.
Also, KEEP THE IOWA maps in the folder sent home. There may be activities associated with them.
